While sorting through my circulation finds (separate thread on varieties) ..... I came across three Jefferson that I believe are know as 'Black Beauty". Two are dated 1958 and one is dated 1959.

https://goccf.com/t/70951The name is somewhat of a misnomer as these coins in hand are not 'black' ..... best described as a dark gunmetal gray to my eye.
Here is a photo of the 1959 .... I grade in the AU range and in hand exhibits a wonderful luster below the uniform gray surface. Both 1958 exhibit a similar luster as well.

An interesting 'variety' that does not get much mention.
