I raided the 10 cent wheat bin again at the local coin store. Some good finds today including 7 teens:

Yeah I was excited about the 16-S it is quite a clean looking coin for a junk bin find no verdigris or anything just a bit of weakness on the reverse:

Nice finds. It is good to see that some dealer bins are still yielding value.

Really some decent finds. Some dealers do things like that to get you started and hopefully you'll end up purchasing many, many more coins, coin collecting items, coin books, etc. If that is why those were there, smart dealer. He is creating a life time customer, maybe.

I'm sure dealers get plenty of wheats for 2 or 3 cents each.....then selling for 10 cents is still a good profit...like carl said...it's good business

Had even better luck Today found a 1922-D key date in AG3. Not in the best of condition but fills another slot in my 1909-1929 Lincoln Cents album. EDIT: Anyone have a fair wholesale value for a 22-D in AG3? I'm guessing about $8.70. Other finds today: 1911 G, 1916-D G, 1918 G, 1919 VG, 1921-S VG, 1925-D VG, 1929-D VG, 1929-S G, 1933-D VG

Yup 22-D for 10 cents I'm pretty excited about it definitely increasing my interest in Wheat Cents. I think I've picked his bin pretty clean at this point but I'll probably do one or two more passes since I'm still averaging 10+ finds per visit.
