I'm not sure how much of the hair and breast feather weakness on that coin is attributable to strike (not uncommon for "O" coins) v/ wear. If it is wear, probably more in the EF-45 worst case EF-40 range. If flatly struck, could definitely make AU. Seems to show some luster in your photos which is a good sign. fenton Pillar of the Community United States 4989 Posts	Posted 01/05/2011 12:29 pm Note according to Numismedia there's no significant retail price difference for this coin in XF-40 v/ AU-50 (both $28) so either way you have yourself a nice higher grade Circulated Morgan dollar.
