I wouldn't think so but coinauctionhelp.com gives NAS a positive rating.

No expert, but I'd say MS 64 is more like it.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! *snort* That means coinauctionhelp.com officially goes on my "never believe again" list. NAS is one of the most egregious basement slabbers on ebay, and the seller who specializes in these coins is (in my opinion) one of the most integrity-challenged people alive. If this coin is Mint State and unaltered (and that's a big "if" in my mind), it won't do MS62 in-hand.

I'm not sure I'd go to the extremes that SuperDave just mentioned..after all coinauctionhelp does not have control over the company...then there is the matter of every TPG having examples of over grading...what I would do is send this pic to coinauctionhelp and see if they change their position.

Quote:then there is the matter of every TPG having examples of over grading... That may be true but the difference here is that NAS is not a legitimate TPG, it is a self-slabbing dealer. Any organization or website that promotes/endorses an outfit like that is equally illegitimate.

I just did a little research at Coinauctionhelp....I do not see that they are endorsing this company...there is a list of TPG's but only for informational purposes and some specific advice on making sure to avoid "basement slabbers". The only endorsements I saw were for ANACS,PCGS,NGC,and ICG. Would the OP care to comment on where he saw a positive rating ? I just can't see it...help me out here

I contacted the administrator of Coinauctionhelp.com and he says he does not endorse any TPG (with the exception of having ad space for the big four) He will edit the website to make that clear. I am member of the forum and have never received any bad advice so I was a little puzzled.

Yeah, I took a look at the site and didn't see anything except pretty helpful advice. My opinion of NAS will not change, but that of the site itself will.

Not even close, it might just make MS-63.

Not even mint state IMO. I see dull areas in the open areas of the fields and Liberty's cheek has a similar lack of brilliance. I'd call it AU-58 based on these images.

I'd have called it a 63 but with your photo, it's hard to see the luster or if that chatter in the fields is that distracting.

My first impression, is MS62, despite how I know NAS is so over graded.."Buy the coin not the holder" is very apparent here..While not every one has the camera's and the experience to post PERFECT pictures as this does cost some money and experience, Its Clearly over graded..If the pictures where better one could see if it warrents MS63, but with these photo's there is to much apparent wear on the REV and Obv
