edit: I mis-dated 1 of the coins.. First coin is a 2005 (KM#160a) instead 1985.. Maybe a moderator can delete this topic..

Found this 1985 KM#160 in a bulk lot.. It look like major grease filling thing or so.. Obv, the lettering is thin, normal is thick.. Rev, lettering is thicker and a extra dot under the state emblem. Also close to the edge there some issues..

What kind of error is this?

KM #160a starts in 1994. I believe Sander correctly stated the date of 1985. So KM #160 it must be!

There both.. Same year ...

Certain years both types were minted, e.g. 1994, '95, '97, ... but not 1985.

Thank you nohope, "Krause" mentioned only 1 mint for 1985. That confused me, and I'm a bit of an Israel noob..

Oh, you're right! Those Hebrew dates could be tricky. And the 21st century catalog lists a few mints, including "o" for Ottawa.

As for deleting the topic, I think it should stay. I learned something from it, we should give a chance to other people to learn too. It could be a reference in the future.
