For some reason, when I looked at that penney, these lyrics came to mind "... and I'm over drawn in the bankbook of my mind"

I'd be happy to make you a penny of Lincoln smoking a pipe in the year/condition of your choice or you can even supply the coin yourself! This sort of thing obviously increases the value of any coin, by how much is anyone's guess. Gee, I don't know if this is a mint error either, maybe the pipe that is usually on the Roosevelt dime was accidentally used on the 1963 Lincoln Cent. These incuse mint errors are especially valuable because it is so hard to get metal to magically appear on the die in such specific shapes. Absolutely amazing dribble.

Hey, I like the coin and would order one from Hardesty if he make it with a Canadian style pipe instead of that ugly Tyrolean.

I wonder if this guy has the version where Lincoln is a kid and he has a Popeye cigarette in his mouth?

It's a make an offer auction..the high price is probably to get more views and attention to the auction. I find no wrongdoing on the seller's part because he obviously knows nothing about coins and many people who aren't collectors often believe their coins to be "one of a kind" gems or etc.
