I have only recently began collecting coins and have never purchased a coin(only rolls).

There is a guy near my street that has a sign on his front lawn that says "collectables here" so being that is incredibly cold and I didnt want to go to the mall with the wife I decieded I would check it out.

He didnt have many coins but I liked his 2 1921 dimes he called them "close to uncirculated" and "fair" condition.

For a newbie what would I look for when buying and how much would you pay. His coins were nowhere near what condition he said but they look really nice for being that old.

EDIT: Ignore me, I did not realize you were asking about Canadian dimes and not US.

Hi, calgarycoin, we would have to know condition, but if they are in Fine, about $5 -6 dollars each.

LOL..x78089.. What did you think, they were Mercury 1921s, that would be real nice..

Thank you for the replys. I will sign up for ccn. My problem in situations like this is lack of experiance correctly judging grade of items and that can make or break it. Live and learn.
