Bacchus2 Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2870 Posts	Posted 01/11/2011 4:37 pm Hi, I know what this coin is ok, Wikipedia even has an image on Albercht von Brandenburg's page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_of_Prussia What I don't have is a decent reference for this particular coin - My library of books just doesn't cover 16th Century Central Europe. But this dealer for example http://www.ma-shops.de/olding/item....RGBP&lang=en has the same groschen, dated 1530, and lists these references: Neumann 45, Slg. Marienburg 1123. The Neumann is a catalog of Prussian coins; the catalog of the Marienburg collection was written by E. Bahrfeldt some time in the 1920s ... Christian Report this Post to the Staff
