I know better than jump the gun, so I'm gonna need some back up on this one.

I see doubling under Liberty's right breast, and a tad on her left. There is also doubling at the tail end of the flag east. You see it as a third fold. The coin is in great condition, but I'm having trouble seeing doubling under the chin.

I kicked it around the coin show and the error dealers with high powered lenses were telling me she is legit! After tons of change and roll searching, who knew my first double would be in my walking liberty set?

Off to grading, but I won't know how it turns out until December as I work seasonally!

Drsandman2,

I'm thinking it's probably not the DDO Obverse. I copied one of your pictures and highlighted where you should see clear doubling. The first area is the front of the neck ... the contour line traces where you should see here double neck and chin. The second is below the breast plate ... it's much further down than your example. I'm still trying to locate the pictures I took of mine a couple years ago, and will post them if found.

SeatedNut,

Thank you so much for replying. I spent A LOT of time going over this coin last night and doing more research. CONECA recognizes three DDOs for this series. The DDO-001 is yours, mine might be DDO-002 and DDO-003 shows doubling elsewhere. However, my coin does not show the die cracks listed under DDO-002. You can see from my pictures there appears to be medium doubling under the breast, no doubling under the chin and there is doubling on the outer fold.

Here is a link to their listings:

I'll try to get some more photos up here, but I may just send this to CONECA now for review.
