I bought a box two days ago, right off I found a 2000 Wide AM in au, then I found not one but two 1984 double ear pennies, one in ms60 the other in au. In all I found 15 wheat pennies and about 15 dollars worth of pre 82 coppers. Not sure exactly as I haven't rolled them yet. Now, now what has got me baffled is this 2006 in ms63 with a 0 where the mint mark should be. I swear, I'm not on drugs or having a 70's flashback,really I'm not! But there is either a zero or the letter O under the date. The letter doesn't look like any of the letters or numbers that is used today. It reminds me more of the number zero one would see on the 1960 small date. |

At first I was wondering why this was posted in the classic forum, but if it has an "O" mintmark, I understand now.  Seriously, without seeing it, it's hard to tell what is up. Clearly, an "O" mintmark makes absolutely no sense. It is most likely a well placed die chip, or possibly a gas bubble that took a strange shape. We would definitely like to see pics. |

Also I can't find the little camera icon to send a pic. I tried to send you a pic though your email but this blackberry gave me an error when I tried pulling it uo. Would it be ok to put my email address here and have you msg me back with yours and send you a pic of it as I am dying to know what others think of this.

I am missing something here  You claim to have gotten not one, but TWO, 1984 DDOs(a $100+ coin) out of the same box but you are more worried about posting pics of a probable zinc zit? |

Yes I found 2 84's and out of the same box! You bet I got excited about them. I have gone though 65 boxes trying to find one but just like the 97 double ear I found about a month ago. I didn't find one I found two just like traffic tickets, I always get two! And yes I am excited about this 06 penny. It's not a gas bubble,not sure what it is yet but it's interesting enough to get me excited!

So sorry all, my blackberry will not give me the option to send a pic. I'll head off to a few coin stores and see if they can help.I've seen gas bubbles,errors, etc but nothing like this.

I will provide pics on saturday. Will post the 06 0 mint mark and the 2 84 double dies as well. My boss said I can use his camera and computer at work but not till then. I can't wait to see what you all think!
