TwoCentsWorth try the Royal Bank. They seem to be very helpful for mint products and I don't even have an account there.

Do you just ask a teller? I asked a teller at a Royal Bank branch today if they had any rolls of 50c, he said nope. I asked if they can order any in.. nope. And I'm a customer!

I ended up getting 40 rolls of quarters to search through, but don't get me started on that.... I'm slowly starting to think that quarters are a waste of time to roll search.

I've asked about rolls of 50c at a number of local banks, and NO ONE gets them in. Apparently, they're not circulation coinage anymore (according to 3 different tellers at 3 different banks!)

I went to the main RBC branch in town and asked for 50c peices and they had $25 dollars worth. (the smaller branches move non-circulating coins to the main branch) Nothing worth any more than face but I was surprised they had some. Apparently when customers bring it in they just keep it in the vault until someone asks about it. Now when I go there they check for me right away.

Canadian halves are very appealing coins. I pull them occasionally from the local scrap silver dealer's tub if they are clean and not worn. I am probably paying too much, but they are too nice to destroy. This is about half of my halves.

There are 2 sets for 2003. The 2003WP set has no crown variety & 2003P set has crowned variety

You can win a 1967 in my postcard contest. Just sayin'

I have a lot of fifty cent pieces and pretty much two full collections from the beginning now. Not cheap to buy these days but the fifty cent piece really was the workhorse of Canadian coinage and some of the low mintages make them hard to come by in decent grades. I like the fifty cent collection more than my dollar collection. They are just nicer to look at imo. I know everyone oos and awes over a 48 dollar, but to me it's just another dollar sitting in it's airtight beside the 47 and 49's. Contrast this with the various versions of the 47 half and it's not nearly as cool to look at.
