I love the 1927 Commemorative Florin! Here is a photograph taken from Cruzi's Coins web site ( http://www.cruzis-coins.com/florins/27ph.html) which shows just how beautiful and delicate this particular coin is. (www.cruzis-coins.com is THE website for Australian coin photographs & information)

Does anyone have a favorite coin with a 'collector' value under $25.00. Everything suggested so far seems to be very upmarket? regards,

One of my all-time favourites. Uncirculated $10.00, less for a circulated one! (Photograph from http://www.cruzis-coins.com/50c/2000.html)

I've been thinking about this for months and finally decided. Here is my favorite. The 1989 Silver Jubilee 50c piece. Many people believe that 1977 was the year of the Jubilee! With a limited mintage of 25,000 I'm lucky to have two of them.

Last December I wrote about how much I like my Lunar coins and Kookaburras. I haven't changed my mind. They are beautiful. However, now I have really gotten into the Twenty Cent Pieces and the Fifty Cent pieces, and am filling my Dansco Albums with them. So, when it comes to Australian circulating coins, I sure like the Twenty and Fifty Cent pieces.
