The coins are P mint, but what I want is to know where you are detecting? I have only found 18 mercs in 20 years. and you are finding 2 1916's at a time.

where are you digging?

Metalman - I will take that as an invitation to tell about my detecting finds this year. 25+ mercs, 14 Barbers, 4 silver halves, 250+ wheats, etc. Last year was better. I hunt ballfield, old yards, fairgrounds, county parks, places pounded to death....I gravitate to the trashiest spots, they give up the best in old keepers. Last year I dug 600+ wheats and 70 silvers. Lots of IH's too, and a 1758 reale here in lower Michigan - crazy!

Hey, it's great that you dug up 2 '16 mercs already.......try as I might I cannot find good places to detect anymore. It's very frustrating.
