fenton - These are known for worn dies and mushy strikes. Use the better struck wheat (left) to look for wear. It's an old trick we have to do when one side is poorly struck. A TGP might very well EF this coin, but I personally think the wear is not that bad. I disagree with the
TPG's all the time.
Also note the obverse shows just a slight rub, there's no major hits on either side, the fields are nice. The only downfall I see on this coin is the obverse surface residue. On a coin of this value, I wouldn't hesitate to remove that.
