I don't know if this is the proper place to hollar a bit but I am absolutely thrilled at what arrived in the mail today! I had purchased two different denominations of the same coin which was a 2003 COTY award winner from the country of Belarus and basically had given up hope of ever receiving them. I had purchased from this fellow in Belarus one other time and it took a month for the very very concealed coin to make its way to the U.S. These coins were different as I WANTED them very badly and after a month and a half I had given up hope and felt I had been taken to the cleaners! But, they are here now!!! One is a smaller cupro-nickel and the other is a large (I like big and silver) silver proof. The coins show mute swans swimming on water with a full reflection so basically the coin is proof, as we know it, and matte proof as well. Absolutely beautiful and YES SUSAN my wife is going to try and help me get scans (all we have is a scanner) and get them posted in the next few days. May not be great scans but at least you will be able to see what I am talking about. Also the 1897 Ten Gulden (Young Head) Wilhelmina arrived as well! Three year issue only and in BU!!! Will attempt to post that as well! Really a good day today! And, I didn't even have to go in that bar with Bobby!!!

We should all be so lucky that we could talk coins over a few beers after work.
And I think they'd have to change from wings to chips and salsa.

Take a look at the reverse toning...looks like something was spilled on it.

Thank you! I never would have put that together. Now for the next question, did the beer spill or are we talking greasy fingers! Still Homer DOH!!!! Mike Then Terry's response threw me off even further!!! Then Ziggy's made me think the coin was from Mexico!

I unfortunately have some Wqs that look like that! Bobby, is that something you'd consider an acetone or water rinse for?

If there had been any residue on the coin...yes. This particular coin only had the appearance of spilled BBQ sauce on it. It just happened to be the color of the toning. In this case, I did not see any harmful contaminents, just interesting toning.

Hey Bobby, if you were walking down the railroad tracks and you fell in, how many doughnut holes would it take to fill a small dog house? There is an answer to this question!!! Mike

Daytime or nighttime? Dunkin' Doughnuts or Krispy Kreme? Freight or passenger train tracks? What do you consider a "small" dog? We have a 160lb St Bernard living next door, a German Shepherd is small to me. I can't give you an answer if you're not specific enough in the question.
