Too much wear for a VF grade, I'm going to say VG-10 though it might just make F-12.
Rest in Peace

No, this coin is not close to VF. I would grade it VG Details (cleaned). In the condition it's in, it's pretty much a melt value coin.

let me try, for a vf-20 the feathers on the eagles chest should be worn , which this is, but it's obverse is well worn with detail to ear slightly worn, and more than half the detail of her hair. I'm sorry, I have to agree, no VG-20 here , not even close. But, the Liberty is still very clear, so it's not just a nothing either. I disagree with cleaning but the coin was heavily circulated as shown by the overall appearance and the very spot worn dentles.
I like it, wonder where it's been, and what things it was spent on, but IMHO, it's sentimental value for this old gal.

VF20 Very Fine A moderate amount of wear is noticeable on the high points of the coin's design. All major details are clear.
F12 Fine The coin shows moderate to considerable even wear throughout. Entire design is bold with an overall pleasing appearance.
VG8 Very Good Well worn with main features clear and bold although rather flat.
G4 Good Heavily worn with the design visible but faint in areas. Many details are flat. Common coins in "Good" condition are not particularly desirable pieces for collectors. Rare or valuable coins in this condition, however, are often saved when no others are available.
AG3 About Good Very heavily worn with portions of lettering date and legends worn smooth. The date may be VF20 Very Fine A moderate amount of wear is noticeable on the high points of the coin's design. All major details are clear.

My limited grading experience would F-12 but that's just my best educated guess. I got to throw one out there and start learning!
