Hey guy, First question, Is this real? The small s is throwing me off. Also, does it look harshly cleaned? Any idea on the grade. Sorry for the bad pics, but they are the sellers pics. Thanks, mike.

it looks real to me, 1921 Morgans used small MM . I also do not see anything that is screaming harshly cleaned either

Looks like a fairly normal AU-50 type coin

If you can get this coin for MS61 or 62 money, buy it. Look above the "TES" of "STATES." See those little lines coming down from the denticles? The pic is too small to tell for sure which one, but this is either VAM-1L (two lines coming down per denticle) or VAM-1Y (one line per denticle). Only a handful of Mint State VAM-1L's are known. I believe I own the only known Mint State VAM-1Y. That doesn't mean you can immediately flip the coin for a huge profit - you can't, demand isn't big yet - but it's an easily-seen variety. Obviously, because these aren't great pics. Yet, with such obvious identifying features, few are known to exist. It's a very neat variety, these lines are known in no other Morgan except the 1921-S, and I expect this one to go big in the longer term when the population of Morgan variety collectors grows. If you don't want it, let me know where it is and I'll buy it. Right now.

Au 50? Please tell me where you see wear. I don't see any. Hair and wing tips look good to me. I'm just trying to figure all this out. Also, the chest looks like it has most if not all feather detail, doesn't it? Thanks

It may just be a heavily bagmarked MS-60/MS-61 coin that was overdipped.
A bit of a judgement call whether those make MS or get knocked back to AU.
From the pictures, I thought it doesn't quite make the grade for MS even though wear is very light.

looks to be a slider...AU-55/58 hair and breast wear but with considerable mint luster...ENJOY!

Note that once one concludes the coin is not MS (assuming that's true), the heavy bag marks exclude it from AU-58; AU-58 coins need to have outstanding surfaces with few marks. It may well make AU-55 given the light wear.
