This is just an 1888 P. The clash mark left fron the V in her hair has no less than six clashes on top of each other. The neck line clash from the eagles wing to N in the motto has so many clashes it fills the space between the N and G in God. Did these dies clash repeatedly or many times during its use?

In my experience multiple die clashes are very common and depending on the particular series of coins involved they can produce some interesting effects. The earlier the series - the more often clashes happened. It is actually a simple function of the mechanics involved in the manufacturing process.

Very cool, but common.

Have you bought yourself some kind of microscope yet? Believe me, it will make a world of difference if you haven't yet.
