I was just joshing, FM actually did coins for a few not so remote countries. Sap probably has a full list.

I know repunchings are common in Colombia in those years.. but 1st one for me.. I keep her..

Makes you wonder why the 19 wasn't permanent and repunch the last two digits.

But, why the first part of the date getting repunched?

Good question! I have a lot where just the 19 looks repunched, and others with repunching on the whole date.
One some dies, perhaps some underlying digits were polished away completely? It's only a guess.

Here's another Colombian centavo which appears to be repunched 9 and three 6 digits partially polished from the fields.

Thanks Scooby! These Colombian rpds are fascinating. Not just for looks, but to imagine what happened at the mint.
And look at the "6" digits! I can't be sure if that's a style, or the digit punches are just worn out.
