I have just received my 2010 Silver Proof Set today and on the reverse of the James Buchanan coin there is a notable striking issue. I am by no means an expert so I was hoping someone could shed a little light on this. Is this indeed considered an error? Is it common? Does it increase the value?
I would not send it back. Most have a collection of mint damaged coins and other rarities. I love to find stuff like that. This was the last mint error I found and I'd never send it back. Check out Van Burens forehead. And yes, it is on the coin.
