I got this (heavily cleaned) coin: 1 Koruna, 1947 from Ceskoslovenska / CZECH-SLOVAKIA, and I saw in the catalogue that there is a 1947 variety in material. Because one is made of copper nickel, and one is made of alluminum (1.3400 g). Can anyone see from the pics what material this could be.... or maybe know how much the copper nickel version weighs, because that is not in Krause... Only the aluminum type has the weight in KM.

If you have the coin on your hands you should be able to determine whether it aluminum - it feels so light! Take another coin which you know is Cu-Ni of a comparable size. If the koruna is aluminum you'll fill a significant difference in weight.

The coin looks terrible!

First off, thanks for the answers. and yes svslav, it looks awfully terrible from all perspectives...

Yet I was made an offer on it for €3 on the local internet marketplaza

But now I know the Cu-Ni version is around 3 times it's weight I know I can sell it with a calm piece of mind. Just want to be shure, and not end up like a dummy who sold his rare coin for a buck or 3

...Thanks again
