Great design.
Does anyone know if this issue is expected to eventually be made available in coin stores?

Quote: Boy the Mint's web site was unusually slow this morning... Probably because of how many people are ordering that coin. Thanks for posting the picture of the reverse canadian_coins. Quote: Does anyone know if this issue is expected to eventually be made available in coin stores? Not at the rate these things will be selling. Just my opinion. (Unless the dealer buys a lot, and if they do. They will be charing more than $20.)

You can order over the phone with just the item number, even if you're not a master's club member. Just saying.

Thanks for posting this. I would have missed it otherwise. Logged in and ordered 5 for myself. :)

I am glad you folks could order the coin without being master club members. My sister-in-law (and maybe a few more relatives) are maxing out on the coins themselves. So we'll see how quickly this sells out.

Is this truly legal tender? With a 200000 mintage (very unscarce), only about 1/4 troy oz. of silver ($80 spot needed for face value) and no loss incurred, the possibility of an attempt to spend them is there.
This is going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Some might see it as a thin edge of a wedge against fiat currencies. Imagine if this lead to demands from the public for more real money?

Of course there is a demand in the public for more real money. Whether or not the mint continues to produce it is another question. Seems to be more of a PR thing - maybe they're also feeling out the "how do canadians like coins because we're killing the penny" market...

If this is a PR thing then it is working for me.
I'd rather have $200 worth $70 in silver, than $200 worth $0.01 in paper.
Can't wait to hear back from people who will spend the money. We might eventually have circulation grades for NCLT.
Amazing times.

BIG thank you Koin Hunter! I hope I can get some. And thanks Canadian Coins for the pictures. Still liking this years 1/25 gold coin, but more to enjoy won't hurt.
Do master club members get to see how many coins remain or is there anywhere you can go to see the number?

Why doesn't this coin designate its weight on the coin itself? This seems like a rip-off to me.
