I'm looking to buy this from an online dealer-HJB. Dealer grade is AU58, asking price is $165. I like the details. Since I'm at work I don't have any access to approx prices. Is it worth the price? Your opinion is appreciated.

Well, Greysheet prices are
$125 Bid/$135 Ask in AU
$146 Bid/$160 Ask in MS60
I have no idea to the retail prices.
It is definately a sharp coin and not far off on price coming from a dealer.

Nice strong date, and all the "beads" around the shield make this an attractive coin... I just wonder how the luster is on it.

Thank you Jordan. Here's another I came across at their site. Dealer grade is AU55 and the price is $140. But I find the first one pretty:)

The dealer said it has a subdued satiny luster.

If Harlan Berk says it's AU58, then it's AU58, final answer. He's an absolutely top-tier dealer by any measure.

Tough to say if it's FH from the pics. If not, you're giving a fair-ish price according to Heritage results. PCGS slabs in that grade are going $185, north of $250 if FH, including Heritage's cut.

Couldn't resist it, I've ordered it. Now the waiting. Thank you for your opinion. From what I've heard HJB is very reputable.

Excuse my fingers, it came in a clear holder so I was able to handle.

shatsi,
Beautiful coin. This is the sultry version of Miss Liberty. I like the variety 1 obverse, but the variety 2 reverse. If I could mix the two together, I'd buy one also. Point of interest, you mentioned that since it was in a clear holder you were able to handle it. When I get any coin and even if it is in a capsule, I still handle it by the edge of the container. Guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Happy for your purchase Malsha, I guess this was for your type set....

Nice Coin. In my opinion this is the best looking quarter design the mint has ever produced.
