This coin is a VAM-4. Can anyone help as to whether it is an early die state or late die state?
I checked http://vamworld.wikispaces.com/1882-O+VAM-4 here to compare, but I cannot tell the difference.
Here's my mintmark:

Christina,
I'm 99% sure that's the late die state,as the early die state shows less of the diagonal crossbar. On the early die state the bottom line of the crossbar looks to disappear just before it touches the inside of the "O".

yours is a LDS not a EDS, as I said in the thread about die states and difference in price here is a thread about the same subject https://goccf.com/t/7764. The EDS just has a slight line not a full looking line going all the way through. here is pictures of each (VAM-3, VAM-4, VAM-5) EDS and LDS side by side http://vamworld.wikispaces.com/1882+O+Over+S

I have never had a problem with it crashing when clicking on Vamworld at all, have you checked to be sure you dont have a bad memory stick in your PC ? I know I had a bad stick once and mine would reboot when I clicked on certain stuff as well. Microsoft has a memory tester that runs in DOS that will test your RAM to see if it has any errors, the program will make a startup disc and you just reboot pc and it will start checking the RAM for errors. it takes a few minutes to complete but it works really well, here is a link to the program http://www.majorgeeks.com/Microsoft...c_d3955.html

I'm sure it is not a memory issue. The bad memory I have is not in my PC
After I click on the vamworld link, the page will come up, load fine, but I cannot scroll on the page. It will just sit there and look pretty. Then when I try to do something else, the window turns white.
When I come back and try to type here, it will group 3-4 letters at a time when I type (as if it is "lagging")
When I go to close out of the link, it'll shut all IE windows.
Only the vamworld links is the weird thing...
