Good luck! All the 1916 that I've sent in with a light date, or no date, usually comes back as a net grade. But there might be just enough date there for this one to work!!

Yeah, I think it will definitely be net graded. I think it has VG details, but no way would it grade that high. I would be really disappointed though if it didnt at least make a 4. I've sent 2 completely dateless ones in with worn lettering into the rim, and they both came back FR02.

Found out today that ANACS graded it problem free AG03. OUCH! Maybe I should try a resubmission, or PCGS? the other one graded PO1 as I expected. Maybe sending 2 in at the same time made them grade a little tougher?

I am surprised. I would have bet big money on a G-4 at a minimum. I'm sorry, my friend!

Resubmit, AG-3 is ridiculous for that coin.

Are you kidding, a problem free AG3! No way. ANACS is WAY off on this one Johnny. An old cleaning, looks like could be as I take a second look but not an AG3!

That's definitely better than AG3 according to PCGS Photograde. Aren't three people suppose to see a coin before assigning a grade?

I guess I can't win them all. Part of me keeps hoping it's a clerical error in the email the sent me..lol(chances of that are pretty slim) as I will be receiving the coin tommorow. On a positive note, they did a 3 day turn around, and gave the coin problem free status. I may take you up on your offer Dave, though I am considering giving ANACS one more shot at it. They've been spot on all of the other coins I've sent to them. I'm hoping they just forgot their coffee in the morning the day they graded it. If I resubmit, I'll be sure to include a double shot of espresso. :-P

I'm no expert, but even a blind man can see it deserves a G-4!!

Yeah - that's way off. This is the perfect example why cracking coins out of slabs and playing the resubmission thing isn't always a bad thing to collectors. It's obviously undergraded.. even if you have to submit multiple times.. the fee for submission will be offset by the eventual G4 (hopefully G6) increase in price. I say keep at it until you get what it deserves. I have a feeling it might just take one more submission..

I have to agree with AG-3 in keeping with the theory that a strongly struck coin is graded more harshly.
