Hi a co-worker approached me today with 20 1964 Canadian Dollar Coins.
She knows that I have gotten into coins and wanted to know if I wanted to purchase them.
Would I do okay offering her spot price for them? I told her they would be worth at least $16 a piece and her eyes bugged out of her head. She did not realize what she had. I don't want to take advantage so I was seeking advice on fair pricing. She has two or three that would grade very high and others that might grade only Fine. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance for your time.

That's about what my local coin shop charges for them, depending on what silver is at. Considering she'd get around 14-16 from a coin shop, you're cutting out the middle man and everyone is happy!

Spot is fair. Happy to see you didn't take advantage of her. They are nice coins as well. She would get a little less than spot if she sold at a coin shop and would pay a little more than spot if she brought. ebay would take a percentage of the final value and posting cost and paypal.... Spot is fair for both sides I think over 20 coins.

As already mentioned, spot is spot on...

In my parts, for circulated specimens, I can buy them all day long for melt. Your offer couldn't get more fair for both parties.

I agree with above, I did help an older lady friend, and it made me feel good and it made her very happy.
