The Mint will publish its next Annual Report around March of this year, as usual. It will be interesting to see how they did in 2010.

For numismatic coins, 2010 saw record sell outs. Needless to say, their numbers have been quite remarkable since 2005.

Given the number of face value and free shipping offers lately (the latest being the $20 FV silver coin), I would say the mint is going to report a very healthy profit. Perhaps people will think it is too high.

I wonder if they are trying to be pro-active to complaints about charging too much for their product.

I think that, as a business, it is a good thing to listen to your new customer base.

In the long term however, it may be wiser to listen to your long lasting customers; the ones who helped you build your business.
