I have Three Cents here from the 40s that I would like some opinions on. The mint marks below seem to exhibit traits that resemble RPMs, but I checked these against coppercoins and couldn't find a match.

1946S :
1940-S-S-Cent-RPMS?

1944S:

1940-S-S-Cent-RPMS?

1948S:

1940-S-S-Cent-RPMS?
1940-S-S-Cent-RPMS?

Don't shoot me, but as you can probably tell... these have been lightly cleaned. I've been cleaning the junk out of the mint marks so I can practice hunting RPMs.

rh - Strange how a small coin project takes over the entire house. My project of searching 15 pounds of wheats has taken over the dining room for the past week.

I cleaned with a nonabrasive adhesive remover and carefully with a Qtip, then rinsed in distilled water. Sometimes I can't get the gunk off and I have to put more pressure into it than I wish... but with these coins only worth a nickel each I suppose finding a RPM is worth it.

Some additional comments:

My 1948 is similar to 1948S-1MM-006, but my MM position doesn't match any of those shown for 1948D. I've compared markers, too.

The 1946 is similar to 1946S-1MM-005, but again the MM position is off and it doesn't match exactly.

The 1944 doesn't look like anything listed.

Four different coins, right?

I see nothing at all on any of them.
