Does anyone pick up boxes of rolls to keep long term? A 2009 D Log Cabin Roll box, for example. I have grabbed a box of several of the 2009 Lincoln boxes and think it may be a good idea to buy a few each year and just hold on to them. Am I nuts? Please tell me I am not alone...

I was thinking the same thing and posted it here with no answers, I was thinking more of nickels though. I cant see what could hurt as long as you get them directly from the bank, plus you can sell them on the bay for a little profit. I def think it would be a wise idea to save some each year and I am planning on doing the same thing, plus if you think about it one day they might be rare to have a full unc box.

Some people resell full boxes of unc. coins of one year (on ebay etc...) I've heard claims of $35-$50 for a $25 box of 2010 shield cents. If you come across rolls of any 2009 cent, I'd keep them. The presidency series is after all a one year type coin, and will be in demand for a long time. Most memorial cents were minted in the billions, the 2009's had mintages between 130 million and 376 million only.

If it were any other date, I would go through every coin one by one, keeping the very best BU coins! (looking for coins MS 65+)

well in the early months of the 2010 penny they sold online for close to 50 dollars plus 25 shipping. This was like when they were scarce and being thrown in circulation.

I do not think it would be worth the money to invest in that. Also the sapce its goign to take to keep a couple boxes of pennies/nickels. I hope you never have to move

I have over 200 boxes of Lincoln cents dating back to 2004.

If anyone here has any extra rolls of the Presidency cents I need them and will pay well for them...thanks.
