Okay friends...here's another one. I have run across a few of these in a collection we just purchased and I wanted to get anyone's opinion. Any additional value in this over a "standard" 1962-D dime? I know back in the mid '60's these were hot items but I can't seem to find anything about them. Even Breen's encyclopedia doesn't mention the "dot." Note the dot in the attached image. I'm going to put them on the website but don't know how rare and if there's even an interest in them.

Looks like a good old fashioned die chip that might get you an extra .0001 grams of silver weight!

I'd be more interested in the doubling. Can't tell if that is Die Deterioration or not.

Please explain how the planchet can gain weight just because the obverse die has a chip. I'm just sayin' that dog don't hunt.
