Please be gentle on me. I am trying to practice my photog skills.

My camera doesn't have a "macro mode" apparently, so I am making do until my tri-pod arrives.

Jayson,
I know your tyring had to refine your photo skills, but those pictures just are not sharp enough for me to give them any kind of grade. As I'm sure you know,a few tiny marks or luster change on a coin can change the grade by 2 to 4 points.I just cannot see that needed detail on those photos.
What kind of camera are you using, and are you sure you don't have a macro mode? I thought I saw you post some pictures that were much better than these.

Kodak C330 and no, no macro mode.

New nothing about macro, therefore, when I was looking for a digi, never thought to look for that feature.

I am sure once I get the tripod, my pics will improve.

Your right, none of the ones today look nearly as good as my first shots with the camera.

I'm not sure how far you are from the coin when you took those pictures,I'm guessing you were fairly close,as inches. Without a macro mode,I would try getting about two feet from the coin, get a steady rest and take a pic. I know the coin will look very small in your screen but you can then crop the picture to the edge of the coin,I believe this will help the detail somewhat.
