All of this is no worse than people buying slabbed MS 69 or 70 bullion coins.

Although many true coin collectors get irritated at such things done to coins, those same people should read that post "Oddest Things You've Done to Coins" And I wonder how many here that are complaining about those dressed up coins entered a reply to that post. To many of us always yell do as I say, not as I do.
I too hate those dressed up coins, ones bent to make things, cut into rings, etc. But even worse is the amount melted down every day and the only thing done about that is nothing. At least those dressed up coins are being sold and kept by someone.

Now that you mention it...not a real quarter, but an image of one (New York in this case) printed on a CD...the colorized image no less!

And if you want to display your whole collection of SQs?

Certainly foresee the possibility of someone signing for their mail in the future. Those designs are owned by the US Mint and they are profiting from them. Touchy if they don't have permission.

The 29' clock gave me an idea.I mess around with wood, maybe I could make a picture frame type thing sink holes in it for the capsuled coins add a glass cover stain the whole thing and walla a master piece to hang on a wall to display the State Quarters or the National Park Quarters.Sounds like a future project for me. gasman96

Stupid is as stupid does, caveat emptor indeed.

As an aside, some of that garbage is aesthetically offensive. Why would anyone buy crap that ugly, even if you thought it would actually appreciate in value?
