hi all
I checked my sites, but not really sure what to look for in regards to the premium DDO's in general. From what I am seeing it is usually the one's with the most doubling or the one's with the larger lettering doubled?, most others only seem to be worth a couple of dollars. I know from previous posts that the 72 is a common double die, but coppercoins.com lists one worth a couple hundred? Is this one due to the amount of doubling or the seperation of the doubling itself. I'm sure its not that simple, but if someone could give me a starting point of what to treasure and what to stuff in a common box would be great. also, would this be doubling, I know it is worn and sorry for the amount of pics and pics themselves, but current camera on scope only allows for this, does not let me zoom out and my camera skills really suck.

Values are determined by scarcity and demand.

Keep studying coppercoins and learn the valuable dies to look for. It's like anything else, repetition.

I use to think Die 1 was the most sought after, but after putting a few auctions up on ebay, I had a fellow Ebayer school me on Die 4, which isn't very pronounced on it's doubling, but has values through the roof. I've studied the copper coin site for a few years now , and as Scooby said said, it is a great place to learn about all the varieties.

Agree with Scooby and urbnlgnd...check out coppercoins.Die #4 most valuable, Die #1 behind that in value but the most pronounced. And the real confusing part is that there is one with master die doubling, you'll find a bunch of those so you need to go to coppercoins to see exactly which die you have.

I just checked CC's site and I would never pay that kind of money for a DDO like #4. I'm not impressed at all by that DDO ,now I am impressed by #1 DDO.
