I was in a local coin shop, here in Florida. They had just purchased
a group of Dollars and half dollars. I had them hold a 1958 and a
1961 dollar because of the years my wife and I were born.

I would like to be able to get online and check to see if there
are any better date coins. Also I am not sure how when the silver content changed.

The dollars they are holding for me, are $14.00 USD each. Is that a fair price? One has a totem pole, not sure what the other had.

Some of the other coins have a goose, wolf and some have a canoe.

I guess it is easy to see I need a good site to study up on these interesting coins.

There are dealers here that are paying 15 X face value for silver coins right now. Based on that and and the value of the American dollar vs the Canadian dollar right now I would say that that is a bang on fair deal.
