I saw one ebay listing that said unsearched dimes rolled back in 1970 . Claiming each roll " might have silver " and if not they would have " lightly " circulated late 60's dimes " grandpa's unsearched rolls of halves " just go to the bank get some rolls and put um on ebay . When they ask why the found 80's 90's halves just say grandpa died last week !

Look. I don't agree with rip-off artists using this 'unsearched' ploy. However, if idiots are still willing to fall for this...well, you know what they say about a fool and his money!

I won't buy rolls of ebay but I did buy an searched roll of dimes at a show in December. One end was a 1955 the other was tails. I know the dealer and thought I could trust him so I dropped the $120 on the roll and got 50 BU 1955D's. It was an excellent score! Buy from who you know when it involves risk. I knew that if I got an awful roll the dealer would have worked out some deal in the future for me.

Hard to believe people fall for this type of auction. Only worth the bid of the coins on the end you can see. You have to assume everything else is worth face, if that ! Bob

This seller offers a large variety of "unsearched rolls" with really enticing coins that are visible on the ends. But you know, this has to be a scam. What gets me is the feedback. Out of what, over 1,000 feedbacks, only a dozen people are willing to leave (or knowledgable enough to leave) negative feedback stating that they were mislead by the auction.

you mean out of 477 he had this year plus with 25 neutral which says only the two end coins were good rest junk, obviously staged like all this type of auctions. If you think that is fine, you should bid on them and get the results first hand

Unfortunately try to remember that those that buy such items are not necessarily idiots. There are many elderly people that fall for those scams. Mentally challanged people also. Lots and lots of just not well educated people fall for those things too. Remember there are way over 300,000,000 people in the USA and truely and really unfortunately so many just don't know. It is really a shame that the ones that do know have no great method to help those that don't.
