Hi krush and welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of us Morgan nuts here and always willing to check out Lady Liberty.

This is a slightly stronger strike from a mint know for its weak strikes. Liberty's face and the field on the obverse are a little marked, especially on Liberty's cheek, there's some very small dings on the rim on both side, but the reverse is mostly clean. For a scan, it shows the luster fairly well. I would estimate MS-62, possibly -63.

It's a very nice coin.

The ear and the hairline just above is just a little flat. Not bad though for a New Orleans minted Morgan. I would put it at MS-63. It is a very nice looking chunk of silver. That is a really nice scanner you have, coin looks great and appears to be in a holder as well.

That's a nice looking coin you picked up.The fields are fairly clean but the cheek has a number of marks on it and that's where they grade the harshest. There's a couple dings directly under the chin with a darker shade to it that almost looks like an indentation but that could just be the picture. The reverse looks fairly clean with one rim ding above the tip of the left wing. All in all I would say MS62 maybe MS63. Very nice coin thou.

Sometimes it's actually easier to grade from scans than pics, as long as you know what the luster ought to scan like. I think this coin has a shot at 64 - the darker areas on the cheek are very likely luster breaks rather than marks, which tend to be much lighter on scans. Luster breaks come out dark on scans, which makes them look worse than they are.
