I believe the years are 2006-09 for Satin, and yes they made both the Satin and normal uncirculated coins in the Mint sets for those years.

I believe since 2005, the Uncirculated Mint Sets were done in Satin Finish. This year of 2011, they are supposed to have done away with that, and will revert back to "the old days".

One could still get business strikes of the Sacagawea's then and up to now, they always minted those.

Yeah...me too......I had to edit the year of the inaugural year of the Satins ! ....

I just went online to verify and I was mistaken they started in 2005 and went to 2009. The original Sac's were stopped in 2008 but they made a Satin coin for the 1st Native American $1. I have the complete set but I forgot the dates.

The Sac's.....and then the Native Dollar were always available in business strike I'm sure. Even during "the change" year in terminology.
During their "NIFC" status....you could still order rolls from the Mint.....these weren't "Satins".
The ones in "Mint Sets" were always Satin from '05 to '10.

From 2005 to 2010, the mint set dollars were satin finish while the direct ship dollar rolls were business strike.
