WildBill or anyone else who knows how to use this unit,

I have it hooked and every thing is working or seems to be till I try and take a snap shot, nothing happens. I have done it both ways from the shutter button and from the icon on the task bar.

What am I missing ?

OK so today it works and I don't know what I did. Now to get some pics together.

Sometimes you need to reboot for downloaded programs to function...

i steady my hand on the table to take pics

most of my pics are taken without the clear adaptors

i like being able to tilt the camera to place the light/glare where I need to, so I can get the picture I want

i use the digital viewer software that comes with the Zorb to take the pics

I'm going to rig up some kind of stand I shake way to much to just hold or I may just need to practice/play around with it when I get some time.

when using the adaptors, I place the camera and the plastic adaptor on the coin and then zoom to a clear image before taking an image

Was busy for a couple of days,

fatboy, for a stand I use a dixie cup 2 1/4", cut the bottom off and stand the unit on it , it will than be right for a full size penny.

Bill, I have tried your way with and without the adaptors, but I blocked off 2 lights with black electrical tape and that has worked best for me so far.

Will try for pics soon but busy making a cupboard for my coin albums.

Has anyone had success capturing clear images of bays, or of the seated Lincoln statue in the center bay? Any tips would be appreciated.

I just got my Carson zOrb as well. I did notice that the lights were far to bright. I came up with an easy fix (if not brave). I took a white candle stick and melted a layer of wax over the L.E.D.'s, being very careful not to get any on the lens. It worked extremely well.

As far as not getting it to capture a picture when the shutter button is pressed, I too am having problems with that. I get it to work one time and the next, nothing? I ended up un-installing the program. Then reinstalling. It worked for the one time and again the next time, nothing. Any computer guru's know how to handle this? It's really frustrating!!

I had that problem too. Then, I realized that not all of my USB ports are 2.0. Try using a different USB port. Since I determined which USB port is 2.0 and using the same one every time, I haven't had any problems.
