Hi,

Welcome to the forum

I think you need to be more explicit. I see you are from Australia so are all these coins from there or are they British or from New Zealand even. The 1937 half penny with the ship on the reverse is likely to be British for example

Condition is everything with coins so pictures would be much better to help you.

rappy: Welcome to the CCF!

I suspect that they may not be worth very much, unless they are in top condition, but that is not the point. Consider how you have acquired them. They belonged to your parents and your grandmother, bless her!

Keep these coins. They could be the start of an interesting collection.

What I am trying to do is engender an interest in you in coin collecting. Have a look around the CCF website. Review some of the threads in the Australian Forum of the CCF. There is lots to learn. Get yourself a copy of The Australian COIN AND BANKNOTE magazine from your local newsagent. It is one of the best produced coin magazines on the Planet. Have a look at the Royal Australian Mint website. Have a look at the 'vcoins' website.

Happy hunting!

please dont sell your father's and granny's coin collection. Just catalog them and keep them safely. Dont value them, even if they are of less value. May be somebody in the family might be interested to continue the collection.

warm wishes.
