Quote: Wow talk about jumping to conclusions and using load words. realpenny - I think aarf was completely on target with his post. He was putting it out there and asking if anyone else had been shipped the inferior coin. Seemed very constructive to me. I'll go further to say that it is almost sure that the RCM has sent this inferior coin to others. I have no doubt they will correct the problem with those who complain. I wonder if they will correct it for those who do not. Scary stuff.

Realpenny - this is the third post in 2 days I've read from you, where you're inferring things that aren't there. Now, I don't want to infer things that aren't there, but it would be nice if, when I see someone has contributed to a thread, it isn't simply a rant against someone else who may or may not have offended you.

Quote: I'll stick with my fraud and you can have your accident. Yeah, I'm sure you're right, I don't know what I was thinking. The RCM had a big meeting and decided to deliberately show a different image on the website from what they were going to ship. They figured that would be an easy way to fatten up the bottom line and they would never get caught. That makes a lot more sense than just an employee inadvertently shipping the wrong item. That never happens. Oh, and just because an item isn't on the website, doesn't mean it isn't in the building. Anyone that runs an online business knows that. They also have some stuff that only master club members can see.

Let's see how many non-complainers get what they wanted or a full refund. Should be interesting. and yes - sarcasm is lost on me.

Yeah, that makes more sense, it was a small meeting. Maybe just the CEO and the shipping receiving department.

pennylover: you are don't need to go further. you need facts. why not go even further and say the RCM will send out a hit team and kill anyone who figured out the RCM's "scam" to keep the situation quite. rodime: learn how to read. the RCM never said they expect him to keep the coin.

Hi all, for those interested, I was contacted by the RCM today. They were very apologetic and are investigating how this happened. I trust there is more than one error made in the shipments. They will contact me personally as soon as they get the situation rectified. Happy Valentines Day

@Realpenny: Again, you're reading into my comment WAY more than I actually put there.

I'm pretty sure it was a Bilderberg conspiracy to redistribute wealth through clever trickery. Those guys are always scheming. Either that or you guys are prone to over-reaction.
The $3 Tyee coin looked for all the world like a big, beautiful silver dollar, but is about the size of a quarter in-hand. More than a few people were disappointed by that one, but I can't say it was an intentional deception.

1cent is correct about the deceiving look. What was interesting about that $3 was the over-sized case that came with it. It made the coin look even smaller.

No question the Tyee is a pretty coin, it just would have been nice if it was a little bigger to showcase the design. I very nearly ordered one from the mint, and ordering mint stuff is something I do roughly once in a blue moon.

Hi all, thank you to those who responded in a respectful, family style manner. The RCM called today to explain the root cause was that the British Royal Mint issued the incorrect coins to the RCM, and thus the RCM shipped the coins. They told me to keep the incorrect coin as a gift to me and the new "silver" edition will be shipped a soon as possible. Since I was charged for this incorrect coin on my Credit Card, I guess I wasn't expected to keep it! Wonder what would have happened as mentioned, if I wouldn't have highlighted the situation. Kudus to the RCM for rectifying the situation in an expedient manner.

Wow aarf... I never heard of a scam artist trying to help out a victim before. And you implied the RCM expected you to keep the coin. Why don't you go back and read your first post now and tell everyone how you overreacted. Better yet send the RCM your first post so they can have a good laugh while helping you out. It is funny how you expect the RCM to be respectful and everyone else, but you are free to bash and imply the RCM is a scam artist or thief. I guess streets only work one way with you.

Yeah, imagine that. A simple mistake. Wish I'd a thought of that as a possibility. I agree Realpenny. Quote: Battle Of Britain 2010 - Sold Out - Scammed Quote:Hi all, anyone else get scammed by the RCM on the Subject? Quote: What surprises me is that they expect me to keep this for $101.00
