Hi....I just recently joined. Not sure the etiquette for posting as this is my first post. I am recently starting collecting the State Quarters (clad and silver proofs) for my young sons. What is the going price for 99 silver proof set in your opinion? I recently got one for $150. Thought that was fair but not sure. Beautiful set, saving them as a family heiroom.

No rules on a first post!

By the way, I moved your topic to a more appropriate forum so you would get some responses to your question.

Welcome. I suggest "the Red Book". It gives you a good idea of what each coin/set is valued at and then you can decide if it is worth the investment

That was a good price for a 1999 silver. About 5 years ago, you would have paid $250-300 but alot of moderns have taken a hit to their value in the past few years.
