I found the nickel with no rim around the coin. The back of the coin is fine. I'm not even saying this is an error. I look at the coin and I can see it wasnt grinded down. I just was wondering what caused this.
Is it smaller than a nickel? It could be an acid dipt coin. One thing that tells me that is th rim is missing. Is the coin lighter than a regular nickel?
It probably was acid dipped in some way. Cause I cant figure out how it could be an error in any way. If it was missing a rim due to the striking of the coin it would appear different than this.
