I had a couple bring in a shoebox full of "stuff". It was interesting and unusual in several respects.
There was one WL, one Franklin, three Buffalos, three
IHC, one Mercury, 38 dead common wheats, nine silver dollars, one Ike, 5 bicent quarters, about 75 common foreign coins, including about five silver pieces, a handful of common foreign notes. Pretty ordinary stuff so far, in surprisingly little quantity.
In a separate envelope labelled "dollars" were a nice 50ยข fractional and a nickel, both less common issues. Another baggie had a 10K gold ring and a diamond cut 10K pot leaf. Still another baggie had about 20 transportation tokens, three patriotic and two store card Civil War tokens, including a 1863 large cent size.
In with the foreign coins were an 1844 Bank of Montreal and Bank of Upper Canada 1852 half penny tokens, and a 1854 BUC penny token. Also a 1952 Cuban commemorative dime and ten Chinese cash coins. That's a
huge number of CWT and transportation tokens to be with so few of the items in the first paragraph.
Rounding things out were a 1774 Britannia half penny with a circular clip at K2, and the following old coppers (keep in mind, only three
IHC): VF 1834
Half Cent; 1817, 1818, 1828, 1831 and 1855 large cents. Every.darn.old.copper.piece.had.a.hole.in.it, except the 1855, which was a "U" reverse. You'd think in a half dozen pieces, there'd be one decent one, wouldn't you? Not a chance.
