They're leaning and distorted. I've seen worn ones but not leaning.

I don't see the distortion you're talking about. The initials don't really seem like they're leaning to me, but maybe they're related.

It's just die wear. Try to be a little more descriptive when you're posting your questions. I've seen a few cases lately where people leave half a question and an image and expect people to guess what they want. Believe me, you're not the only one.

Die wear and erosion can cause distortion like that on the coin pictured. Die distortion can also cause a secondary image that looks very much like a doubled die. Other types of die distortion can cause the die detail to fade into the fields, which to the uninitiated can resemble circulation. This the doubled image distortion is more common on nickels, as it's a harder metal.
