Last year was fun and we had good participation. I'd like to do the same contest this year. If you want to review it, the old thread can be found here
http://goccf.com/t/64036I'm launching this earlier than last year because that was the feedback I received.
The contest is simple but has a good chance for participation.
-Get a postcard that you think is nice for whatever reason
-Put a real stamp or stamps on it (no prepaid post office postcards)
-Put only your forum name on the postcard as an ID
-hand draw a doodle of anything at all that is suitable for all ages viewing
*Put NO personally identifying information on your postcards*. I can't stress this enough. Protection of personal data is really important in this day and age. So no return address or names please or I'll have to disqualify the entry. I'm assuming the postmarks are not a problem.
To enter
-PM me for a mailing address - this is not the same as last years. I typically check twice a day.
-I'll confirm receipt of your postcard via this thread.
-Have the normal 50 quality posts
-Mrs. Ugly (you bet she likes that name a whole ton) will draw out the hat on May 30th 2011. This should allow time for remote world stragglers to make it into the mailbox.
-If a minor(as defined by your locale)should win any prize then you are required to have a parent contact me for delivery via voice. No leeway on this.
-one entry per person but any number of forum members from the same household may enter
Prizes are my natural desire to spread the joy of collecting Canuck Bucks.
(2)Winners
First prize
-all the postmarked cards from forum members with what I hope are nice canceled stamps. I think these are a great collectible and nice keepsake.
-A 1999 dated .9999 fine silver five dollar Maple Leaf 1oz.
Second place prize decided by votes for best postcard by forum members.
EPQ CHUNC 1967 Dollar bill and a 1967 Silver PL 50 cent piece featuring the Timberwolf
I will scan and post an album of each postcard as it arrives with a link and updates offered for each received postcard.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Good Luck!
