This seems like a broad question, but I recall an article in Coin World within the past few months or so discussing the 3-cent silver denomination and postage stamps. I tried searching their archives and even looked in the table of contents going back for many months and I couldn't find that article that I read. I did receive a complimentary Numismatic News issue in the past few months or so, but I don't think the article was in there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not recent but the June 9, 2008 issue had an article on encased postage stamps that mentions the 3-cent silver piece.

The older Coin World article on encapsulated postage is awesome, but alas one I already have. Thanks for finding that though.

The Numismaster articles are awesome and might come in handing for my upcoming article. But, none of them go over the material I was hoping to find. Ironically enough, one of the article's authors, Fred Reed, is someone I need to probably get in touch with about information for the article.

Thanks.

Thanks Ken...good luck! I somehow missed it when cruising through all the table of contents descriptions and sub-headlines. I seem to recall the article was on the left side of the paper and not very long...and odd thing to remember, huh?

Try their search feature on the left of the toolbar. That's how I found the encased stamp article.

I already did a search and didn't find anything about the "new" 3ΒΆ coin. I did find a few articles about the classic design but nothing about a new one

Uh...Bryan...what did you find on the classic design? I hope I didn't insinuate that there was a new 3-cent coin I was looking for (although that would be cool!).

I already tried their search feature and it's not very good. I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Sorry, Bryan...I had to chuckle when I read this...

I wrote that article! But, thanks for noticing it!

The information I'm after actually deals with the legislation dealing with the beginning of 3CS.

yeah I didn't see anything when searching for 3ΒΆ coins about any new one, your article was the only one I found except for some ads that had 3ΒΆ in the listings

I went looking again and found another article named "Copper Nickel 3-cent coin triumph for Wharton supporters" and another titled When the Trime was King and the last one that is a small article (on the left hand side) with the title 3-cent coin proposal predates reduction in value of stamp I will keep looking but so far these are the only ones I have found, I keep switching the words to anything I can think of but so far this is it

Bryan, your searching skills are much better than mine! I've printed off a couple of those now. Alas, still none of which are the article I recall. However, I will have to admit that I'm finding enough information for what I need to write on that I might not need to locate it after all. If you happen upon any others though, please pass them along. Thanks!
