Hi all,
I'll be heading to Minneapolis (specifically Mall of AMerica) in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knows if theres any local coin/bullion dealers in the area? Hopefully within 30 min drive of the MOA?
Greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

I went to Minneapolis a few years ago and also did a search. I didn't get to but 1 of the ones listed. Premium Quality coin. Even bought a few things. And you will love the wall of cents. Premium Quality Coin(also known as Apache Coin) is in the downtown section, but are only open M-F from 9:30 to 5 Gary Adkins Associates is located in Edina, MN Valley Coin in Crystal, MN Park Coin in St Louis Park, MN Hope this helps some

I'm sure one of the others will be open. Just look them up and give them a call in advance to find out

Check out Valley Coin. http://www.valleycoin.com/I've gone there several times and they have a large selection. It's fairly easy to get to.

The previously mentioned places are good spots but if by any chance you are here on March 13 be sure to go to the Holiday Inn Coin show in bloomington (60+ tables). It is super close to the airport and the MOA and it's probably one of the best spots to get some good deals. It is not uncommon to score some buys for a little below melt if you know what to look for and we get dealers from all over the region for that show.

thanks I will check out valleycoin.
The only thing that I didn't realize is that you have to pay taxes if I purchase from them directly? Is silver bullion taxable in the USA? Because from my local dealer and I believe everywhere else in Canada Bullion purchases are tax exempt.

Hello vinnycoin,
It was a good show as I recall I picked up some pieces under melt and I added some Canadian 1oz Maple Leafs to my collection.
Next one at that location is April 10th but nothing for the end of the month.

I have visited both stores mentioned. Definitely worth the trip to both.
ASK both to see specifically what you are looking for.

oooh so close.. i'll be there on the 22nd! Oh well,
Oh, and to confrim, if I purchase from valleycoin in person, I'll have to pay taxes? As mentioned I'm from Canada and anything purer than 995 is tax exempt. Isn't that so in the States as well? Or did the rep at valleycoin get it wrong?

I forgot if the man charged me sales tax on the coins I bought at Valley Coin, but for supplies there are sales taxes.
