Poll Question
I just wonder which one you like better. For me it has always been cooler when they are on the reverse so when I see the date on a circulated coin I have to turn to the back in hopes of it being a key date. What do you think?

I like obverse. When placing coins in folders, I like seeing the date and mint mark at one glance. You forgot about mint marks on edges.

Hopefully you really mean Album, not those Folders. Regardless, on the reverse they are sort not seen in either a Folder or Album.

I meant folders, coins are in Whitman folders. Have always used Whitman folders.

Depends on the date, mint, and denomination. On a 1917s half, I prefer the mm on the obverse.

Doesn't really matter, though I agree about the anticipation when turning one over to see if it's a key date.

I say obverse, only because I am lazy. However, I appreciate my older coins with them on the reverse; it forces me to look at the reverse more often.

I prefer the obverse but I really dislike the edge lettering because it's very difficult to find and read especially when the coin is encased in a holder and you have poor/old eyes.gasman96

I would really like to see the Philidelphia ones on Lincoln Cents to be on the obverse. I really can't find them now. Way back many reverse errors have been missed and I suspect that the reason is so many people just don't look at the rear of a coin. For Mint marks on the reverse did make people look for them there but with so many on the obverse today, I think many errors are being missed. For sure no one ever even mentions rotated reverses much

Danscos are great for finding rotated reverses...but I don't care hwere the mint mark is unless you use bigfredd's logic.
