Thanks! You know what's funny? I had to check the date at least 5 times before I was convinced it really was what I thought it was. I kept expecting it to change or something. lol

Excellent Question!
Very low mintage nickel & extremely difficult to find in circulation.
I just found my first 50D last year after over 40 yrs of searching!

Quote: Buying one to complete the set is kinda like kissing your sister. Congrats Nickelman! Thanks, and great analogy. When the mint announced production quantities a lot of people horded these in an uncirculated state. So circulated quantities were lower than what they would have normally been even for this low number. Having said that there are actually many of these uncirculated coins still around due to that initial hording. It is easier to "kiss your sister" than to find in circulation, but not near as rewarding.

No Richard I don't actually have a "set" I have been thinking about doing that and have been setting aside coins that I would need to do so. I actually mainly look for War Nickels, old coins of any type, and just interesting stuff like the fore-mentioned Henning.
