dlegg0387 The catalog value can be found in Krause but that is the easy part. Understanding that value is a bit more difficult.
For example, the 1876 F (Stuttgart) 2 Pfennig has a catalog value of $1.50 in Fine and $15 in VF. That means that grading in this case is VERY critical and could cause problems. Buyers will attempt to hold the line at fine and sellers will want VF. Remember that the German Empire series is collected predominantly by NON-US collectors so European grading standards will be used. VF in many places is equal to the US EF. The coin is copper not bronze so mint luster and toning will be an issue. Any evidence of cleaning and retoning are a death sentence for commercial value as are rim bumps.
The 1935 A (Berlin) 5 Reichspfennig from the Wiemar Republic is a very common coin struck in aluminum bronze. The grades you quote would consign it to most US dealer's junk box. The Krause value ranges from $0.50 to $1 and the comments regarding the Empire issue apply here as weel. In practice the coin would sell to an honest US dealer for about 10% of the Krause amount. This variety is commonly available in the 20 cent range for coins grading Fine.
If you can post pictures you can get help with grading issues.
